Regional Programming Contests PDF Print E-mail
There will be three Regional Programming Contests this year. Central will be held on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm and East and West will be held on Saturday April 17th, 2010 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm . Details about each location can be found below. If you are a convenor from a boardwide contest or a staff advisor from a team participating, please complete the online registration form at the bottom of this page. In order to ensure proper preparation for the contest, teams must register by April 3, 2010.

The number of teams that can be sent from each board is determined by the following formula: three teams for the first ten secondary schools in the board or part thereof, and then one team for every ten secondary schools in the board or part thereof, after the first ten. Click here to determine the number of teams that can be sent from each board in Ontario.

To try to encourage female student participation, school boards can send, in addition to the number of teams determined above, one all-female team for every 25 secondary schools in the board, or part thereof.

Contest Location: the CSE building

The CSE building is #19 on the map. Equipment drop off is at the loop south off Ottawa Rd towards building 19.

Parking will be in building 80, accessed via Arboretum (the P next to building 15) Note: do not use the open-air lot south of Arboretum Lane. Drivers should enter the building and take a ticket from the machine and they will be issued a voucher so that when they leave they do not have to pay.

Contest: 11 am - 2 p.m.
Lunch and cleanup: 2 - 3 p.m.

Note: If you bring any food and beverages, make sure that all materials are reusable or recycleable.
