DWITE Online Contests

The DWITE Online Computer Programming Contest is an online programming contest environment available for Canadian secondary school students. It is set up to help students practice and prepare for more recognized contests, like the ECOO contests and the Canadian Computing Competition. Competitions are held from October to February. Boardwide Programming Contest

The Boardwide Programming Contest is available free to ECOO members(and note that ECOO membership is now free as well.) It is distributed by email to convenors of school boards and this year school boards are requested to hold their boardwide contests, using these questions, from March 21 - April 5th, 2010. School boards use this method to select the teams who will represent them at the Regional Contest. Regional Programming Contests (full rules)

The Regional Programming Contests are held at several locations across Ontario and these contests are used to determine the teams that will participate at the Final Programming Contest. This year, there will be three Regional Programming Contests held at the following locations:

• Central Ontario - York University, Department of Computer Science
Saturday, April 24th, 2010 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm

• East Ontario - Queens University at Kingston, Faculty of Education
Saturday, April 17th, 2010 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm

• West Ontario - University of Western Ontario, Department of Computer Science
Saturday, April 17th, 2010, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm

Final Programming Contest (full rules)

The Final Programming Contest brings together the top twenty secondary school teams from across the province to compete for the provincial programming championship. This year's contest will be held at York University, Department of Computer Science, on Saturday May 1st, 2010. For more details about the event click here.
