Minds On Media

Constructivist Approach to Digital Storytelling and Multimedia Presentations
Wednesday, November 11, 2009     9:00 - 3:30
ECOO Conference 2009         Sheraton Parkway North Hotel, Richmond Hill

What is ‘Minds On Media’?
Imagine a room full of teachers who
are experts in digital storytelling and
multimedia creation. What could you
learn from them?

How are you reaching your digital learners?

Join Peter Skillen as he hosts this new ECOO event - a full day BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) workshop with a variety of learning centres focusing on planning, production, post-production, and exhibition of final media works to audiences - local or global.

What Will You Learn?
That is up to you! Visit one of the centres or visit them all! You can be an absolute beginner, or a 'techie' wanting to bump your skills up a notch!

You choose your ‘entry point’. Build your own plan for the day or be led by one of our facilitators. Learn what you need to know to bring digital tools to your students this year!

You may want to learn all about podcasting. Or moviemaking, HyperStudio, iLife, Audacity, Adobe Premiere Elements, Comic Life, Transform, Inspiration, Web 2.0 tools, digital photography, digital storytelling, etc. You get the idea. The facilitators at the centres will have the skills to support you. A broad range of media products and tools will be supported with awesome classroom projects as exemplars!
